I love being free of chemicals... I love being a role model for my children. I love having them look at my hair and see how beautiful it is, and in turn love their hair that much more... I remember being a hypocrite... telling my babies how gorgeous their hair was... and then going into the bathroom and slapping on the creamy crack... and one day, I looked at myself and said, "NO!!!! NO MORE!" -- I've been natural ever since!!! It's a blessing... I'm very pleased!
ReplyDeleteI am really into health and fitness and found it pointless to be concerned about carcinogens and toxins and then slap a chemical on my scalp that eats away at my flesh my last relaxer was 2.5 years ago and while im not totally confident with my styling ability I learn every day and from my fellow natural sistas :) I must admit all my life my mother was natural and was staunchly against relaxer but hey peer presure:) I begged until i was give the oppurtunity at 16 :).

ReplyDeleteI love the freedom it gives me I don't worry about sweating a perm out and I love the fact that my daughter looks up to me and sees how much I love my hair and she loves hers to
ReplyDeleteI love being natural because it makes me proud to know I can grow my hair healthy without a need for chemicals. I use to rely heavily on my relaxer!!! I also love how proud my daughter is because I am her example.
